My name is Phumelele Kuzwayo, I am 21 years old and I am doing a diploma in financial accounting this year being my second year. My journey with Releasing Eagles has been amazing. So far I have learned that mentoring can be mutually beneficial and rewarding on both professional and personal levels. I have developed leadership skills and gained a personal sense of satisfaction from knowing that I am helping someone.
Releasing Eagles has shown me that being a mentor comes with a lot of benefits. Mentoring has helped me develop the ability to motivate and encourage others. This can help me become a better manager, employee, and team member. My communication skills have improved and I learn new perspectives because by working with someone less experienced and from a different background, I gain a fresh perspective on things and learn a new way of thinking – which can help in my personal life. My coach, Robyn, is the best and she has molded me into the person I am today. It is very personally fulfilling to know that I am directly contributing to someone’s growth and development. Seeing my mentee, Lungile succeeded as the result of my input is a reward in itself.
