Dirk Devis is a coach professional who is passionate about working with open minded and self-driven people who want to best realise their personal, professional and associated business aspirations. Although having had a successful career as degreed industrial engineer of more than 20 years, Dirk has always been interested in one’s “being-ness” as a human being, as the foundation for authentic and prosperous living. So, in 2008 Dirk also qualified as a Consciousness Coach through a coaching program accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He subsequently also became a coach member of ICF.

Since then his focus is on supporting people within a coaching context in the corporate and private sector. His coaching work mainly entailed management and leadership coaching as an internal coach within a large South African petro-chemical corporation. This also included being a development coach to a group of selected high-performance employees to support them within their participation of the corporation’s High-Performance Employee Development Program. Due to the corporate’s operations downsizing in 2015, Dirk decided to leave the corporate world and to continue with his own coaching business called Frontier Coaching, with a focus on personal and professional development.

In the last few years Dirk also became involved as a coach with a non-profit organisation called Releasing Eagles. This organisation endeavours to support the transition of scholars from secondary education to tertiary education or the job market by using a model of mentoring and coaching.

Within his coaching career Dirk has realised and stated, as a principle, that authentic and meaningful interaction with others is important in order to experience successful personal and working relationships – people will not care what you know until they know that you care.
