VANITA WILSON, 25 CAPE TOWN, SA

My name Vanita Wilson and I am one of four sisters. I grew up in a single parent home. I was in Grade 11 when I heard about Releasing Eagles. I attended a coaching circles initiative in response to the high rate of teenage pregnancy in my community. After a four week programme, I decided to join the Releasing Eagles mentorship programme. Through my teachers at Heideveld High school and my mentor at RE, I managed to complete my B.Com Accounting and Honours degrees at Stellenbosch University.

I obtained a bursary from PwC and is now working for them as a qualified chartered accountant.  I am the first in my family with a degree and my sisters are following in my footsteps. I see myself as a go-getter and through all my challenges I refused to never give up. I had one goal in mind and that was to succeed. My mentor describes me as teachable and dedicated to my vision. I know that for Candice (my mentor) seeing me graduate and qualify, as a CA was one of her greatest joys.
