The past year and few months limited our in person contact with our mentors and mentees all in one place. As Releasing Eagles beneficiaries, we feed from each other’s energy and the REconnect session definitely brought back the spark and connection we all missed as most of our meetups were virtually due the ongoing Pandemic. Our virtual sessions are as impactful, but nothing beats an in person meeting where laughter and joy fills the atmosphere.
The REconnect session was hosted by our amazing Mentee Lead – Tiah Julius and Mentor Lead – Lance Botha. The day started off with a walk from Seapoint Pavilion/Swimming Pools to Green Point Park and this allowed for mentees and mentors to catch up and update each other on what has been happening in their lives and where they at. The day was filled with games and chitter chatter, which always leads to us not wanting leave when the time comes to go our separate ways – the REconnect session did our mentees and mentors well.
We know that 2022, will bring about new and exciting activities to the RE space – as we understand the importance of in person connections for our beneficiaries.
